ABOUT PRINCIPIA CROSS COUNTRY

Varsity cross country at Principia College is a daily proving ground for growth, where a runner breaks through barriers and overcomes limitation within the context of intercollegiate racing.
Principia cross country has a tradition and an expectation of competitive excellence: team conference championships, individual conference champions, national qualifiers, and a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) national champion and All American.

In addition to competing in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC), we schedule races against many Division I and II colleges and universities in the Midwest. Athletes that qualify for regional or national post-season racing are supported by the College.

Goals

Team goals each year include:
1. Use competitive running as a vehicle for growing in Christian Science.
2. Have every member achieve a lifetime best performance.
3. To understand the value of team commitment.
