Fleming Named to the NSCAA Regional Team
Dec 10 2008 Elsah, IL -Wes Fleming has been named to the South Central National Soccer Coaches Association of America 2nd team released today.
The junior from Irvine CA, led the team to an 11-6-3 record and a third place finish in the SLIAC regular season which culminated in the Panthers bowing out in the conference semi-finals to eventual champions Greenville.
Fleming was one of only two SLIAC players to make the 2nd team. As a whole, the SLIAC conference had a total of five representatives in the three teams announced with the highest placing nominees coming from Principia and Greenville College.
A captain since his sophomore season, Fleming was also a first team SLIAC All –Conference selection , the team co-MVP and it’s most inspirational player.

LOUIS - One hundred sixty-one student-athletes have been named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) All-Academic Team. The recipients were varsity members of their school's cross country, football, soccer or volleyball squad for the Fall 2008 season. Other selection criteria include: (1) Minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average, (2) At least sophomore academic standing and (3) Have at least one full year at current institution (first year transfers and true freshmen are not eligible).
