In spite of today's turbulent economy, Principia College is meeting 100 percent of families' demonstrated need for financial aid and is awarding academic and leadership scholarships to qualified students. Additionally, Principia College has kept its tuition well below that of many other small, liberal arts colleges. We work with families to find a way for every admitted student to be able to attend Principia College.

Many students are concerned about having a huge loan to pay off after they graduate. Principia College has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the top twenty liberal arts colleges nationally for graduating students with low debt. A national survey reported that the average debt of graduating seniors in 2007 was $21,900. Principians with student loans graduate with much less debt than that and have a generous time period to pay it off at a low interest rate.

We provide personal, individualized service when you apply for financial aid. Thanks to our work with individual families, about 89 percent of Principia College students receive some kind of financial assistance with the average package just over $22,000 per year.
